WE ARE HERE TO HELP
We offer FULL and ASSISTED LIVERY in Bristol.
Based in Long Ashton just 10 minutes from town you can will find a peaceful yet fun filled serene space to relax and spend time with your horse.
Developing into an equine healing centre to offering activities such as HORSEBACK YOGA, Bluebird Bliss holds a vision of a space where all beings are nurtured and encouraged to connect with nature and the Earth. In fact, we are fortunate to have hacking into ashton court giving us a great opportunity to do just that.
Services on offer at the yard include:
Horseback Yoga, Meditation, Equine Reiki and Reiki Healing, and Natural Horsemanship by Nicola Carley.
We welcome those looking to learn kind and compassionate training methods including NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP and some of us ride some of our horses bareback and bitless. Our horses are living in a herd and we still have turn-out even in the wettest wintry weather by using our sand arena and hard standing areas which are linked through a mini track system.
Additionally, we are following the PADDOCK PARADISE ethos and are the only yard in Bristol with a track system. Being a track livery in Bristol, we are able to offer 24/7 turnout for all horses even in the worst weather as they have access to our barn, arena and yard.
Join us as we transition with plans for a medicine garden, yurt and round pen.
Closest yard to Bristol offering full livery. People with certain disabilities also catered to.
** Please note that this used to be Yanley Stables but since we’ve taken the yard on, we have already completed some major improvements with a new perimeter fence and all the barbed wire that was accessible to horses has been removed **
Welcoming people with certain disabilities (unfortunately we can’t accommodate wheelchairs at the moment), we offer training and supported livery for novice owners, novice horses and those who might need extra help with specialised packages available. I also offer healing sessions and horseback yoga so if you have a horse you think would be good at this job, please get in touch.
Children and ponies are also most welcome. We have hacking into Ashton Court, Tyntesfield Estate and the woods around Gatcombe Farm and Barrow Gurney.
Points to note:
1. We don’t allow horses to be stabled 24/7 unless a vet/farrier has prescribed box rest
2. Will not introduce new horses into our herd with shoes on – they must come off first and we will accommodate individual paddocking for this purpose for an agreed period. If you wish to reshoe your horse after this period, we can discuss but we do encourage seeking advice from our trained equine podiatrist first.
3. We are ideally looking for people actively practising or learning more natural and compassionate methods of horsemanship and we are open to people who’d like to collaborate with us.
