Yoga: Somerset Yoga Day & Raw Food Retreat

ClocktowerOne of the great limbs of the ashtanga yoga philosophy – Satya – demands respect for truthfulness but how can we live truthfully if we do not start with honesty with ourselves? This retreat is designed to help us begin to strip away those layers as we set the groundwork to align ourselves with living in truth.

We will be using our yoga practice to explore the following questions:

What do I dream of? What do I want? What is blocking me from achieving it? What will the greater impact be on society/family in achieving these desires? What am I afraid of?

Escape from the hustle and bustle of life for a whole day of yoga, buddhist chanting and meditation, delicious and nutritious food and yoga nidra (relaxation).

Join me in a full day of soul nurturing bliss as we explore the boundaries within our own body. The day will comprise:

* welcome with delicious green & fruity super juices
* an open discussion on what satya means for you
* short introductory visualisation
* a dynamic morning practice incorporating pranayama (note that this is not a full scale ashtanga practice but it will be challenging)
* meditation session
* reflection and journaling
* a delicious raw food feast curated by the fabulous raw chef Deb Durrant including one of her amazing, raw desserts
* chanting
* yoga nidra
* mindfulness yoga session
* mini massages/treatments
* goody bags

All this will be set in the beauty and serenity that is the Clocktower Wellness Centre in the gorgeously sleepy Somerset village of East Brent. Accommodation is available for anyone wanting to stay overnight. Please see for info.
